Swoon Friday The Rules of Rebellion

The Rules of Rebellion by Amity Hope

Kindle edition 33% (This is a long one)

Maybe that was okay. Because his expression gave me the answer I was searching for. He was looking at me the way Luke looked at Meg. It was the way Nate looked at Francesca, and the way Adam looked at Julia.
I had zero experience with this whatsoever, but if I had to guess, I'd say he was looking at me like he wanted to kiss me. I was a fortunate coincidence because--to my surprise--I wanted to kiss him, too.
The way the flames danced across his face, illuminating his features in their soft glow, made my insides swirl. His eyes were such a startling shade of blue, his cheekbones so perfectly sculpted. His lips looked soft, and his hair was adorably tousled. I thought I knew how the princess in my book felt when a spell had been cast, causing her to find the prince absolutely irresistible.
Without thinking more about it, I pressed up on my toes, slid my hands into his hair, and tilted his face toward mine.
The kiss started slow, tentative, but then Leo decided to take control of the situation. His hands gripped my waist, pulling me closer. The sizzle I'd felt earlier returned, sliding through my veins and burning away what might have been left of my hesitation.
When the kiss finally came to an end, I rested my forehead against his chest. An unfamiliar, deliciously sweet longing echoed through my body.
My knees were so weak, I appreciated the way his arms were around me, helping me to stay upright. I also wasn't sure if he'd kissed me back because it had been a reflex or something? What if...What if he only kissed me because he knew it was on my list? My zero experience could've caused me to read him all wrong.
He slid his fingers under my chin, forcing me to raise my eyes and look at him. What I saw was the same look I'd seen before. When e lowered his mouth to mine and kissed me again, I knew that everything was alright.
It was more than all right.
It was freaking amazing.
But what was I doing? Leo liked me, a lot, apparently. Did I like him? Or was I simply caught up in the moment? I didn't know. I could only hope my impulsiveness didn't come back to haunt me. But right now? All that mattered was that Leo continued to kiss me.
And I didn't want him to stop.

The Rules of Rebellion Review

The Rules of Rebellion by Amity Hope

1. Skinny dip (her idea)
2. Stargaze (his idea)
3. Prank someone (her idea)
4. Go on a date (his idea)
Leo Zimmerman has had a crush on his curvy friend Kylie Jenkins since forever, so when he discovers the girl with a flair for candy making has a newfound plan to rebel against her overbearing parents, he’s determined to be the one to help her carry it out. Who better than himself to show her the ropes of letting loose?
Sure, taking her to her first high school party, helping her sneak out of the house, or watching a sunset together isn’t exactly a hardship, but much harder is masking his feelings the more time they spend together. And when he suggests adding “a first date” to Kylie’s plan and she accepts…suddenly all his dreams seem to be coming true.
But Leo’s got a secret that could change everything between them, and it’s only a matter of time before it comes to the surface.

First thoughts

I had already read "The Rules of Persuasion" by Amity Hope so I thought I'd read this one. Entangles teen books are always so good and have you hooked right from the start. This one was no different, I was wanting to read from start to finish in one day but, I slowed it down so I could have time to analyze what I was reading. So here's my honest review of this book.

Review

The first thing I liked is that the authour brought in/ incorporated the characters from her other book into this one. I took me a little while to realize that but once I did, I liked it. The other thing I liked was the fact that the emotion felt so real to me. And you know I really appreciate an authour who can create characters who connect to the readers.

The one part I didn't like is there could've been more swoon-worthy scenes and the character could've been described a bit more, but that's just my opinion.

Overall this is a great book to read for all the feels and some swoons. I would recommend this book to someone whos looking for a light read.

Love in the Friendzone Review

Love in the Friendzone by Molly E. Lee

The only thing worse than not being able to tell your best friend you’re head over heels in love with him? Having to smile and nod when he enlists your help to ensnare the girl of his dreams.
Braylen didn’t even want to go to Lennon Pryor’s epic graduation-night party, but when Fynn begs her to be his “wingwoman,” she can’t deny him. Talking up her BFF—how he’s magic behind a camera, with a killer sense of humour and eyelashes that frame the most gorgeous blue eyes in the history of forever—is easy. Supporting his efforts to woo someone so completely wrong for him? Not so much.
Fynn knows that grad night is his last shot before leaving for college to find true love. And thanks to Bray, he gets his chance with the beautiful Katy Evans. But over the course of the coolest party of their high school careers, he starts to see that perhaps what he really wants has been in front of him all along. Bray’s been his best friend since kindergarten, though, and he’d rather have her in his life as a friend than not at all.
Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one epic party, complete with every high-schoolers-gone-bad shenanigan, and two best friends whose sexual chemistry is off the charts...if only they’d succumb to it.

First Thoughts

This book sounded so good I just had to read it! It sounded like such a tragic love story, one-sided love. And when I started reading, I was automatically hooked. Now you know I love books that pull you in so hard, that they make you feel like you're the character, and this is defiantly one of them. So here's my honest review of this book.

Review

This is such an emotional book, from both viewpoints, you could see what Bray thought about something or the way she felt, and then you got to see/understand what Fynn thought or why he did it. Because you get to see both viewpoints it adds another bucket full of emotion, because you can tell what their both feeling and you just want to change it.

The one problem I had was with the character development, their appearances weren't described enough for me to picture them. There were some moments when other characters talked about the hair or eyes of someone else but that was all I got.

Overall this book is so amazing! It has the emotional rollercoaster, the swoon-worthy moments, and the scream-your-head-off-because-they're-doing-the-wrong-thing-moments. I would defiantly recommend this book.

Swoon Friday Love in the Friendzone

Love in the Friendzone by Molly E. Lee

Kindle Edition 77%

I traced her bottom lip with my thumb, her quickened breaths only fueling the fire in my blood. Inching my lips down, I tentatively pressed them against hers.
My heart jolted in my chest, an unexplainable familiarity shocking my core. I froze for all of two seconds before completely ignoring anything outside of the sensation of her mouth opening willingly for me.
Slipping my tongue past her lips, I stroked her until she gasped. I gripped her hips, her jeans rough under my fingers as I brought our bodies flush.
Wasnt she wearing a skirt earlier? Did I miss her putting on jeans after the pool?
Not caring, I walked backward, tugging her along until the backs of my knees hit the bed. I sank onto it. bringing her with me without breaking our kiss. I had fantasized about this before, how she'd feel against me, how she'd taste, and if we'd be good together, but the reality was nothing compared to the fantasy.
We were perfect together. It was like we'd been kissing for years and had mastered every single hot spot the other had. case in point, she raked her nails lightly over my scalp, fisting my hair as she nibbled on my bottom lip. A low groan rumbled from my chest in response as I ran my hands up and down her thighs, which she situated on either side of my hips.
I slipped my fingers underneath the hem of her shirt, revelling in the warmth of her skin and how the silkiness of it ignited sparks underneath my own.

Swoon Friday November Snow

Bad Bloods November Snow by Shannon A. Thompson

Kindle edition 94%
He faced me--his unnatural green eyes searching mine--but he didn't answer. Instead, he kissed me, his sweet lips soft and inviting. And everything around us disappeared as he deepened it, his fingers falling to my hair, his breath matching mine. When we parted, he stayed as close as ever, and shook his forehead against mine. "I can't," he said, making my heart leap into my throat. "You've taken away my ability to hate away from me."
When he sighed, he dropped his forehead onto my shoulder, both of his arms wrapping around me. "The world can't break us. Nothing can."
I ran my fingers through his hair before I ran my hand across his shoulders--including the scarred one-- and down his back. He held me closer, and I squeezed back, too afraid to let go again.
A boy I met on the streets, a boy that saved me a decade after I almost destroyed him, and all I wanted was freedom to live and love too, for the chance to love him in the future, for the chance for the others to find someone they cared about. For all of us. For all the bad bloods.
"Woah!" Adam's voice echoed through the small room, Daniel fell backwards, almost shoving me away, and I did the same to him. Mini Cal had already erupted into laughter, a deep laughter I never thought I'd hear again. "I didn't mean to interrupt." He even managed a wink.
Daniel's cheeks turned red beneath his tan, "Shut up," he said but his voice was light, "Shut up right now."
Adam continued to chuckle, wiggling his eyebrows in my direction. 'You two have fun," he said, slowly backing out of the room.

Update Regarding Posting Schedule

Hey everybody! So I have finished all the reviews of the books I've already read. It has come to my attention that I do not have the ability to read a book in 2 days and enjoy it. So because of that, I have changed my posting schedule, I will now be posting reviews every other week (still on Thursdays and Fridays) This is so I can enjoy the book and give you guys my best review possible. My Teaser Tuesdays and Swoon Fridays will still be every week.

Thanks for reading my blog. If you really like it, give me a follow! Thanks.

 Until next time.

First Thoughts

I was so excited to read this book because I enjoyed the last book so much. When I started this book I was automatically hooked (mostly because I had to finish it in 2 days) It picked up right where it left off, it didn't have you wondering what happened. So here's my honest review of this book.

Review

So first of, you need to know that this book is an emotional roller coaster. Shannon has you laughing, crying, swooning, and trying to fight the reality of something. Now I did have to finish this book in 2 days, so I was quite rushed but I tried to soak up everything I could. And I have to say it was just an all-around great read.

This book did have a couple of slow parts, but what book doesn't? I wouldn't call it a slow book. I was pleasantly surprised, this book surpassed all of my expectations, I love a book that can make you feel everything the characters are feeling. Shannon went above and beyond that, she had me thinking about the sad parts and trying to wrap my head around the whole thing, as I was there experiencing it with the characters.

Overall this book is one I would defiantly recommend, and I would totally read it again. It has all the ups and downs that don't go unnoticed with me and are greatly appreciated.

The Queen B* Stikes Back Review

26833325
The Queen B* Strikes Back by Crista McHugh

Alexis Wyndham isn’t quite sure what to think about her “friendship” with the star quarterback, Brett Pederson.

Sure, he has more intelligence than the entire football team combined. Not to mention that fact he’s a great kisser.

When he asks her to help him with his college admission essays, she isn’t sure if he’s doing it to spend more time with her or if he’s just using her for her brains.

But after her nemesis, Summer Hoyt makes it clear she’s not finished chasing after Brett, Alexis begins to realize how hard she’s fallen for Brett. Now the war is on, and the head cheerleader will find out why she should never take on a Queen B*.

First Thoughts

When I finished reading the first book, I knew I had to read the rest of the series. When you first start reading this book, it instantly grabs your attention. Within the first chapter, there is an awkward part that makes you feel like you're right in the middle of it, it's awesome! So here's my honest review of this book.

Review

So this book as I said grabs your attention from the very beginning, which means it doesn't have a slow start! It starts off with some witty banter on Brett's side aimed at Alexis. All throughout the book, you are screaming at Alexis to just take a chance, but part of the fun is settling down an seeing thing from her perspective.

There are also parts of the book where Alexis lets her walls down, and it makes you so happy, but as quickly as they were down they're back up. At that point is where you lose hope for Brett and Alexis, but if you just keep your hope you won't be disappointed, or will you? You'll have to read to find out.

Overall this book is one of the best I've read in a while. I would definitely recommend this book/series to my friends.

Swoon Friday All The Broken Pieces

All The Broken Pieces by Cindi Madsen

Kindle edition 79%

Liv took a deep breath, trying and failing to keep her voice steady. “You think I’m cute?”
“Damn cute.” A fleeting smile crossed his lips, then his expression returned to serious. “You’re the one person whose opinion I care about. When I’m with you, the past disappears, and I’m a better person.”
She closed the gap between them and wrapped her arms around his waist.
His arms encircled her and his lips brushed her temple as he spoke. “I knew I was a gonner after we went lizard hunting.”
She looked up at him. “Then why’d you fight it so long?”
He turned his head away. “I don’t deserve to be happy. I’ve done some awful things, Liv.”
“When I came here, I didn’t know who I was. I had a hard time just being in public.” She put her hand on the side of his face. “Meeting you is the best thing that ever happened to me. Nothing you—or anyone else for that matter—say will change what I think about you.”
He grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the exit. “I guess there’s only one way to prove you’re theory.”
